I Love you New York.

Being back in NY has been amazing. From the day I stepped off the train at my mom s new apartment in Chelsea, I knew it wouldn t take me long to get adjusted here. Grocery store, check. Post office, check. Resident Irish bar, check check. Nope. This place feels just like home. And surprisingly, it s chalked full of just as many friends as I have pretty much anywhere else.

In my first two and a half weeks here, I have been to dinners all around the city, found a sportsbar named Stillwater where they show the OSU games and everyone wears Orange on Saturdays, been on 4 dates with unsuspecting New York boys, watched the home team lose their shot at another World Series, hosted a dinner party on the roof of my midtown apartment, fallen asleep and missed my stop on the subway after a few too many tallboys (no pun intended), taken a jog in Central Park, and whistled at a herd of yellow cabs charging down 8th Ave causing an instant frenzy of turn signals and merging resulting in the 2nd place driver throwing the finger at no one and everyone.

I ve always been a big California girl. Don t get me wrong, I love LA. It s my home for all intensive purposes. But I Love Love Love New York City. There s something about this place that is truly magical. And it s something that can t be replicated anywhere else on earth. The public transportation, the walking culture, the endless things to do, the diversity. All of it contributes to why this city is one of my favorites. But. I m going to spend several posts speaking about New York, so rather than bore you with more words here, I m leaving you with some of my favorite New York moments. Enjoy!

Stillwater at 4th and 2nd ave? That place is great. I also remain stuck in NY's orbit, returning tomorrow for a couple weeks in fact. Great pics, love the Rhino!!

@Phil - Yes! Stillwater on 4th between 2nd and Bowery. It's a great gem. Feels just like being back in any old dive bar in Oklahoma. Only more expensive and less trashy. But they do a great job bringing the Stillwater traditions to New York in the form of Eskimo Joe's cheese fries, Limeys and even OSU koozies! It's a great place!

@Alexis - Sorry we didn't meet up in Tulsa, love. I'm trying to figure out when I'm coming back to the city now. It'll either be next week or around the 20th. Can't wait to see you then!

@Ryan - Thanks Ryan! Glad you enjoyed New York. By the way, are you using a translating service to look at my site or are you reading in English? I'm just curious what you're using if anything. Send me an e-mail! Thanks for reading!
